Friday the 26thof November 2010 saw the annual Women in the City awards held at the prestigious Plaisterer's Hall, London. This year's event starred the inaugural Parity Award, proudly sponsored by blackswan.
We are delighted to announce Fleur Bothwick, Director of Diversity and Inclusiveness at Ernst and Young,as the winner of the award, presented to her by Maurice Duffy, blackswan CEO.
As business transformation specialists, when we judged this award, we were looking for more than just short term achievements. Rather we looked for someone who created real change and truly embedded diversity and inclusivity within their organisation. Fleur demonstrated clear leadership and significant business impact, she engaged all management levels and created sustainable results.
Undoubtedly, her exceptional passion, enthusiasm and commitment to the diversity and inclusivity agenda has helped her achieve great things, and we were delighted to award the inaugural Parity Award to her.
Upon receiving her award Fleur said:
"With over twenty years experience in human resource management, I am acutely aware of how our everyday business processes can, unconsciously, derail the good intentions of leadership. At Ernst and Young our objective is to develop a level playing field where everyone can reach their full potential. We have made good progress to date and I am delighted to have been part of that journey. This public recognition for our work is the icing on the cake!"
blackswan wouldlike to thank the Women in the City team for an excellent event and we look forward to continuing to sponsor and work with them.
