I'll readily admit to opting out of Facebook on a personal level (you can read my previous blog on Facebook here if you want to know my reasons), however it's power as a tool for transforming user perception and experience is undeniable.

Interestingly, the most active age group using social networks is 35-44. Some might be surprised by this, after all, this is meant to be a 'youth' led change, however those stats compare pretty well to a typical recent population pyramid.
Perhaps social networks are reflecting the 'real world' better than many of us thought?
