Renting a Limousine in Oakville

The City of Oakville is separated from Toronto, which is 40km away to the West, by the City of Mississauga. Oakville was a town that absorbed the little villages around it, and in 1962, became a city. It has since been included into the Greater Toronto Area. Oakville has developed the upscale sophistication of the big city without totally losing that homely, small town feel about it. It has hundreds of businesses, professions, banks, galleries, all kinds of artistic draw cards and entertainments and superb quality shopping facilities in a picturesque setting.

It is an area with strong cultural attractions and a vibrant, youthful aliveness that draws a large number of visitors to literally hundreds of music and drama events each year, as well as festivals and sporting events all year round. It has a beautiful waterside setting with boating clubs, including private mooring for boats, and excellent upmarket restaurants as well as other less formal food vendors of all kinds. If you are of the many that enjoy the vibrant nightlife, there are beautiful limousines available in Oakville to take you safely and comfortably, as well as in great style, to and from your gourmet dinners and high class entertainment, whenever you wish to go.

Two immensely popular festivals take place in Oakville annually or bi-annually. The first is the annual Midnight Madness' a jazz festival for which Oakville is famed, and the second is A Taste of Downtown Oakville' which is held twice a year.

As Oakville tends to be the home of people who, percentage wise, represent a younger age group than most of the rest of the Greater Toronto Area, there are a great many interesting and lively events that take place there.

Most kinds of sport is available in summer including a lovely golf green for golfing enthusiasts, who might also find great interest in having a look in at the Canadian Golf Hall of Fame'.

In winter are some real fun occasions that you cannot miss. In November the Christmas season proper gets under way with a tree lighting ceremony. The celebrations include Christmas carol singing and a sing-along.

Then comes the Santa Clause Parade where old and young can watch the parade proceed along the downtown route.

One of the greatest fun things to see, and, if you are brave enough, to take part in, are the activities of the Polar Bear Club. This annual New Year's Day event sees crowds of people take the plunge. And that is what it literally is, to take the plunge into the icy winter waters of the lake. Mostly for fun, but also with the noble cause of supporting charity, swimmers and spectators raise funds and into the water the brave ones go. Once they have got themselves thoroughly wet and icy cold, they are adopted into the Polar Bear Club. A great deal of fun is had by all, and the charities are the richer for it.
