subject: Problems Losing Weight For A Wedding? [print this page]

There are not many moments in life that are as important as your wedding day; especially for the bride. In order to look stunning and glamorous, some look to drop a few pounds to fit into the dreamy dress. No one wants to see the seams taken out from a dress; you would rather see them taken in. If this is you there are a number of things you can do to lose weight for your wedding.

There are a lot of products out there especially on the Internet that promise the world but deliver very little. You'll find all sorts of potions, lotions and pills that could be taken to lose weight. Whether they work is another matter altogether. If you want to lose weight naturally and healthy stick to the basics of exercise and dieting. As long as you are consistent and truthful to yourself about your efforts, you will see results.

All you need to do is have the calories burned exceed the calories consumed; simple enough, right? I know in theory all this sounds simple, but putting it into practice is where it's difficult and where many give up. Stick at it and don't give up. Give yourself space to fail and start again if you have to. There is nothing wrong with doing that. In order to get the results you want, you are best off starting far in advance to your wedding day. You will need to ensure that you stick to about consuming a maximum of 1,200 calories daily.

The dreaded factor for many is that altering the diet is not enough to lose weight for your wedding. Studies have shown dieting without exercise only leads to your body using lean muscle mass for energy. By employing some cardiovascular exercises daily your body will begin to use the stored fat as energy thus melting those pounds away.

For brides looking to lose weight, stick to cardio exercises that focus on large muscles such as swimming, cycling, walking, running or hiking. Any activity that uses whole muscle groups are far more beneficial than activity that focuses on a single area. You will want to start with 15-minute exercises three times a day and work your way up as your endurance improves. If you suffer from back pain or Sciatica then a low impact activity like walking is best.

In addition to cardio exercise, it is vital you include resistance training into your exercise regimen. As mentioned earlier, the other benefit you will receive no matter your goal of how much you want to lose is that you will start to look toned and fit. Resistance training in conjunction with some form of aerobic exercise will help improve bone strength allowing you to achieve your desired figure. Make sure to use low weights in order to reach a high amount of reps.

After going through a treacherous workout you are going to want to feed your appetite. It is important to remember that to achieve your desired figure for your wedding you need to burn up more calories than what you consume. Stick to lean meats and dairy, fresh fruits and vegetables, whole grains, and multivitamins to complement your hard work in the gym. Here's to you looking your best on your special day!
