GMAT (Graduate Management Admission Test) is a computer-based test that is a significant criterion for getting admission in any US university for business studies. GMAT is a standardized test that aims at checking the verbal, mathematical and analytical writing skills of the applicants. The test is of 800 marks and it is necessary to score high in GMAT to get through a good US business school. The scores obtained in GMAT are valid for five years from the date of test. GMAT Guidance is important as international students are required to take the test not only for admission in a business school but also for getting a student visa for the US.

The first section is the Analytical Writing Assessment (AWA). The Quantitative section and the Verbal Ability section are the other two sections. Read on to get some very good GMAT Guidance that will surely help you achieve success in the test.

The first section of the GMAT is Analytical Writing Assessment and it comprises of two essays. In the first essay, you need to scrutinize an argument and in the second you need to scrutinize an issue. 30 minutes have to be devoted to each essay. In the next segment, i.e. the Verbal Section, there are 41 multiple choice questions and these have to be answered within 75 minutes. The questions in this section are of three types: sentence correction, critical reasoning, and reading comprehension and the score is from 0 to 51 points.
