Who Has The Edge:Brady Or Manning ?
Who Has The Edge:Brady Or Manning ?

I'm going to do something I've never seen done before. The first scenario is that you own a team. The game is being played in perfect 72 degree weather, a perfectly blue sunny sky and no wind. The field is an absoluely beautiful 100% perfectly manicured lawn of Kentucky Blue Grass and cultured Zoysia.

You have Jerry Rice, Andre Johnson as your outside WR and Drew Pearson is the slot WR. Your tight end is Russ Francis and your RB is Gayle Sayers.Who's your QB ? There are two options for QB. Tom Brady or Peyton Manning? You pick the QB you'd like to have running this offense. The honesty is that nearly any professional QB can have better than average statistics and performance if all of the elements are near perfect. Indoor football has allowed the better than average to become great.

My guess is that about 95% of the voters would take Tom Brady

Peyton Manning no doubt will go down as one of the best statistical QBs in NFL history. But Manning has never been able to overcome the elements that he has difficulty playing in adverse weather.

I'd love to see Manning and Aaron Rogers switch places and see who comes out on top. I'd be willing to wager that Rogers would be the overwhelming winner. I'd go as far to say that Manning might be a bit above mediocre. Switch Brady and Tony Romo and I think the result would be the same as I described above. Brady has always done well in a dome or in better than average temperature zones. Many of the foul weather area QB's have always been better overall because they understand the elements and can work within the confines of the weather. In many cases they are so good at it, that they use the weather against their opponents. Remember the Tennessee visit in 2009 to Foxboro for an unexpected 8 inches of snow and ice? A Titan meltdown to the tune of 51-0. It's never just the QB, but they are the engine of the offense and if they struggle, the game is lost.

Brady in my mind is a much better leader, due to his ablility to adjust his game based on game conditions and situations and he can adapt much better with the talent around him.
