The Japanese car manufacturer Toyota is set to open to the market its Etios model cars by December 1 in Bangalore, India. It is still unclear though whether the company will release in the market the sedan or the hatchback first as the company still keeps mum of it. If it were to be judged by the rumors circulating though, the company will initially launch the hatchback and the sedan will be launched at a later date which might fall probably early next year. In addition to that, the Etios range will rely on gasoline engines first and then the diesel configurations will be released and introduced in the next few years. Toyota is also looking for different ways to introduce some other propulsion configurations for they will also have several studies conducted in the near future so that they may determine if such an addition would be profitable for them or not. The car manufacturer's Asia Pacific President Mitsuhiro Sonoda said earlier this year that they they are looking at every possible ways to launch the Etios. Aside from the diesel and the petrol variants and that they are studying the market and demand for launching the car in other fuel options such as LPG and CNG and hybrid more. With the debut of Etios, the car company will also open their second plant in India which will signal the expansion of their production capacity especially of the Corolla Altis, Fortuner and the Etios car models. The construction costs as well as the raw material prices have increased in the past years and because of the hikes in the prices of petroleum the company remains committed to their investment in the Indian plant says managing director Hiroshi Nakagawa in July this year. He added that they tried to control the cost through the implementation of Kaizan. He says that they have also succeeded in this. The second plant will is scheduled to start its production in December of this year. The Toyota Kirloskar Motors will bring the Etios to an attractive starting price which is an estimate of Rs. 5.25 Lakhs. The car is specifically designed to consider the Indian conditions and other markets that are emerging. The car model is expected to give a stiff competition to other successful car models available in the market.
