This method uses a system of rewards not punishment. Common sense will tell you, if you are training correctly and by the proper guidelines for that individual dog, then this training will go quickly and easily. A lot of dogs especially large dogs, for example the Bulldog, They tend to rebel against forceful methods of discipline. Rewards based training is best when combined with all the other correct procedures. Utilizing common sense, good control,and quality leadership values.
The first requirement to consider before training, should be a healthy animal.
A healthy dog is a happy dog. Reward based training, such as with food can possibly leave some unwanted after effects, however I'm sure they would be minimal. Some dogs tend to have obesity issues, some more than others. Some breeds tend to lend theirselves to obesity more than other breeds There are a lot of dog training programs out there some good some not so good.
I'm not endorsing one or the other here at this point. My intention here is to prepare you somewhat and get you to try to let yourself relax and loosen up To get you to start the process. I Personally believe all dogs should have at least some kind of, basic training, however I know that's not realistic. It's not my intention to endorse any type of program here.There are more than a few training programs out there. Just get out there and get involved with your dog. He loves nothing more than to make you happy. If I didn't know better, I would say that my dog understands every word I speak. dogs truly are amazing.Depending on your needs and the type of dog you have, if you will roll your sleeves up and get to work,you can have your dog trained, rather quickly and easily. So get a good training program and get to work.
