Volkswagen said that the company is going to launch all of the exclusive editions of Volkswagen Passat and Volkswagen Jetta in India by 2011 which is anticipated to add a new twist and to spice up the Indian car market. Lutz Kothe, the Head of Marketing and PR for passenger cars of the Volkswagen Group said that the brand new editions of the two car models- Volkswagen Jetta and Volkswagen Passat is going to be launched in the Indian car market next year. The big news has bought all of the car enthusiasts in the mood for celebration because there could not be anything better than welcoming the new year than having the exclusive car models from the renowned car manufacturer.

Lutz also added that the special edition pieces of Volkswagen Passat and Jetta will be assembled on Indian grounds but then there are still no clear plans as to the willingness of the company to manufacture the models at the local level. He also admitted that the reason behind the company's declaring of the big launch in the Indian auto market is that exponential growth and hidden opportunities available. He added that the luxury cars have great chances in the Indian car market because the demand is taking big leaps here so launching the cars at the right time can lead to more real profitable results.

At the moment, the company official shies away from disclosing any information for these special editions of the Volkswagen Passat and Volkswagen Jetta. The company was able to elicit positive response for the Volkswagen Polo and Volkswagen Vento which was evident from 2 to 3 months waiting period for the booking.

Lutz further said that the company is going to work hard on the Chakan facility in Maharashtra which is expected to help the company meet the growing demands. He also commented about the company's Volkswagen Polo model in white shade which is catching a great demand in the market which is again, forcing the company to speed up the production process. Even though he did not disclose anything about the figures, it is said that the November sales of Volkswagen Polo and Volkswagen Vento flaunts the total figure of 4, 613 units and the total sales of 26, 000 units as total sales from January to November this year. The company also made a huge investment for the Chakan plant which reached Rs 3, 800-crore and is expected to increase the capacity of the plant production to 1.1 lakh units.
