There was once a little boy who was upset with his mother and ran out of the house screaming, "I hate you, I hate you". He ran down the hillside and shouted into the valley, "I hate you, I hate you". And back came the echo, "I hate you, I hate you". Scared; he ran back to his mother and told her that there is a little boy in the valley who hates me. So the mother took him back to the hillside and told him to shout, "I love you, I love you" into the valley. He did, and back came the echo, "I love you, I love you". The child was surprised. The mother knelt in front of her son, and looking straight into his eyes she said, "Son, life is like an echo. What you put out, you receive; what goes around comes around"
Somebody once said, "Success is a result, not a reward. Failure is a result, not a punishment". If only everybody understood the meaning behind it, this world would be a much better place to live in. In the Bible there is a very powerful saying, "What you sow, you shall reap". If we were to look at the same sentence at another angle, it would read What you have reaped, is what you have sown'. So basically, the responsibility lies square on your own shoulder.
If you are happy with the way things are working out in your life, then you have sown the right seeds in the past. But if your life is messed up, your finances are bungled up, your love life is mauled up, etc. etc. etc. then all you have to do is see what kind of seeds had been sown in the past. And the person who has sown those seeds can be seen in the mirror. So if want to change the circumstances today, you can't. All you can do is change the way you deal with them.
You can create your own circumstances in the future, if you choose to take the right actions today. Now that's within your control. The choice that you have to make is whether you want to change your life or not. That's completely up to you. I can point out the way, I can guide you, I can train you; but ultimately you have to tread the path. I can't tread it for you.
So stop blaming everything around you and start reforming you. Mahatma Gandhi once said, "Be the change you want to see in the world". Look at what he achieved. If you can achieve even 0.001% of what he did, you would be considered a resounding success. I repeat, "Success is a result, not a reward. Failure is a result, not a punishment."
