Do you struggle to know how to recruit for your MLM business? Were you able to bring in a handful of people at the beginning, but now it seems near to impossible to get ANYONE to sign up? Not only that, but are you now noticing that a percentage of the people you originally recruited have started to drop out?
If you are experiencing any of this, you are not alone. Many network marketers run into trouble with the issue of how to recruit for their MLM business.
Why are so many network marketers having trouble knowing how to recruit for their MLM business? There is a reason why so many people have this kind of trouble -- they are being taught recruiting methods that not only do not work well, but can actually cause a business to fold.
Here are some of the cardinal "rookie" mistakes that network marketers make when they go to recruit for their MLM. Avoid these mistakes, and you will avoid things that put over 94% of network marketers out of business:
Business-Ending Mistake #1 - Limiting Your Lead Pool: What is the biggest "false start" that network marketers make? It's following the direction they are given to use their "warm market" (friends, family, neighbors and co-workers) as the main (or only) lead pool. If you want to know perhaps the most important insight I can give you into how to recruit for you MLM business, it is that you want to attract leads who are already looking for what you got -- you want people chasing you looking for more information, instead of the opposite taking place.
Your warm market is NOT comprised of these people. You don't ever want to "convince" someone that they want what you have. How you recruit for your MLM business is very simply to put your message in front of people who already are looking for what you are offering. If everyone you are trying to recruit has no interest in what you have, then you will end up with a significant drop-out problem. This will mean that you are wasting time and effort (and MONEY) on people who will not be long-term members of your organization.
Business-Ending Mistake #2 - Buying All Your Leads: One of the biggest mistakes you can make in how to recruit for your MLM business is to spend yourself out of business. This happens to way too many new network marketers. One of the biggest culprits for this is expensive lead lists. Some network marketers figure that if they buy their leads -- and buy the most expensive "real time" or "fresh" leads -- that they will be able to build an instant business. Not the case.
An extension to what I talked about in #1, when you want to know how to recruit for your MLM business, you are always better off generating your own leads because you will have control over who the leads are and how they came into your funnel. Not only that, but if your skill set is not really well honed, then you could quickly spend a LOT of money on these leads and put yourself out of business before you have a chance to ever put yourself into profit.
Business-Ending Mistake #3 - Positioning The Wrong Party: Another one of the "biggies" in terms of how to recruit for your MLM business, is how you position YOURSELF in the eyes of your leads. A huge mistake that new network marketers make is to position their company (or their upline) as the "expert" in the eyes of their leads. You never want to do this -- You always want to position yourself as a leading authority in your niche, and an expert who has a SOLUTION to a problem or an issue that your prospects have.
What this means is that you do not want to ever lead with your product, your company's opportunity or with anything about your company in general (like a company replicated website). You want to put the benefit your product offers -- with you as the expert who has this benefit to offer -- as the first thing anyone sees from you. This is how you get people chasing YOU instead of you having to chase people. This is how you get people who are already interested in your product as your leads. This is how you recruit for your MLM business in a way that will get you more leads than you can believe -- and fewer drop outs than ever before.
