It is worthwhile to inquire whether these include an internship program as practical experience is worth much more than what the classroom offers. Some institutions also have placement programs with potential employers near and far. This certainly gives one a career head start as good grades guarantee a better job outlook. Combining a degree with relevant certification certainly increases ones chances in the medical assistant job market. Opportunities to work at large health care facilities, doctors offices or nursing homes are laid out for the pickings.
