If you are in the search for information on the best ab exercises, then grab a chair and buckle up because this is an article you are going to want to read.
In the next few minutes we are going to look at two of the best ab exercises that you should consider to incorporate into your workout program. First, we are going to have a look at the hanging leg raises ab exercise. And after that, we are going to look at the dumbbell snatch.
First, lets start out with the Hanging Leg Raises.
The hanging leg raise ab excercise is a really good ab exercise, and it can be slightly modified to suit both novice and advanced.
We start this one while hanging straight from a bar, and the objective is to raise your legs up toward your chest to work your core section. If you are a beginner, start with bent knees and slowly lift them up toward your chest and hold for 3-5 seconds, then slowly lower them to the starting position. You can easily spice this ab excercise up by going for straight legs, adding ankle weights and also twisting your core while lifting and lowering your legs. This one should be done 3 sets of 12-15.
Next ,we go to the Dumbbell Snatch.
This is definitely one of my personal favourites, and I think it's one of the best ab exercises.
This one will give you a great set of abs if done regularly.
The objective of this ab excercise is to snatch and lift a dumbbell from the floor up to the highest point you can reach above your head.
We start by selecting a dumbbell that is heavy enough to get you winded at say 6-7 reps, and getting your heart pumping. We will now start in a squatting position with the dumbbell laying in front of you. Grab it with one hand and hold with a firm grip, breathe in and hold your breath. Raise yourself to a stand while lifting the wheight upward toward your chest area.
When you have gotten to an upright position the dumbbell should be at chest level, now continue pushing the wheight up toward the ceiling until you are standing upright with you arm straight above your head. Slowly put it down to the staring position, while breathing out. Do this for 10 reps and then alternate with your other arm, and repeat this 3 times for both sides.
So there you have it. Two of the best ab exercises you can put into you ab workout routine.
