That made Dexter become closer to Lumen then he ever thought he could be with anyone. Let's face it , this coupling with Lumen could be epic, she could be his soul mate as she is as damaged as him but not deranged as Dexter's previous similar women escapades. Rita no matter how much she participated in Dexter facing his human side ( and he has one) but never actually knew Dexter's dark side, dark passenger) so he could never have a real connection with her. Actually, Rita reminded him of the monster he is.
The last scene from Dexter episode In the Beginning is a love scene with Lumen. What I'm thinking is that this was just a short calm before a storm as from the last 2 episodes so far things are going fast. Dexter's unusual but understandable recklessness in season 5 is tumbling down on him -Deb is very very dangerously close of finding out her brother's secret monstrous hobby . With every step closer to discovering that Lumen is the rape club vigilante , Deb is closer to exposing what Dexter really is and how will she coupe with that at this point we can just take a guess. Will he play a brother's card on Deb cause you have to admit, Deb has a blind side when it came to her brother so far but can she coupe with Dexter's dark passenger ?
