"This is my third win using the ZL driver and the first using the all-white version," Poulter said."I like the visual of it, it's really very cool. It's unique and different to any driver I've seen. Its performance is great, too."
Poulter's driver is a limited edition model that Cobra released earlier this month.
Just 500 of the clubs will be made, each with a production serial number and a Fujikura Motore Speeder shaft.
"The Limited Edition ZL demonstrates the unique attitude of the Cobra brand, and our focus on superior performance and innovative design," said Brian Zender, senior vice president and general manager of Cobra-Puma Golf.
Poulter first started using the driver at the WGC-HSBC Champions event in Shanghai two weeks ago.
Identical to the ZL driver in every way but its colour, the Limited Edition ZL incorporates an adjustable hosel that can be set to open, neutral or closed. It also uses a rhombus-shaped face insert to make nine points across the face for increased ball speed.
Poulter, wearing his own exclusive design of FootJoy MyJoys shoes, used the Titleist ProV1x ball which you can also win here at Golfmagic to score a record-equalling 60 during the tournament. He jumps three places to No.11 in the world rankings.
The 34-year-old's look good, play great' philosophy certainly paid off, as he took to Sheung Shui in the Autumn/Winter 2010 collection of his own IJP Design gear.
FOOTNOTE: The white trend in clubheads started with TaylorMade's line of Ghost putters white versions of the Rossa putter line. TaylorMade will also be introducing an R11 white driver early next year.
