Moreover, plants work as natural filters, and help in removing dangerous bacteria. Goldfish generally prefer cannas, water lettuce, nymphaeas, sedges, and water lilies in the pond.

- When you have your goldfish outdoor be careful not to overfeed them which can damage their health. Moreover, if your pond has plenty of plants, there is no need to feed your fish.

- Another important task for you is to see that the water temperature in the pond does not cross 75 degrees F which can be damaging for the goldfish.
