How To do fundraising through Art Fairs and Farmer's Markets!

A really fun way to raise money would be to host a craft fair. Most organizations have a few people who are very creative. Perhaps someone you know makes jewelry, candles, wood creations, etc. There are most likely craft fairs in your town either at a local mall or at another location. You can visit those and get ideas. You can also collect the vendors cards and invite them to participate in your craft fair. Charge a reasonable fee for the space $50-$100 and have a fun day! If you have inside and outside slots to offer, you can charge more for the premium slots inside.

You don't have to just look for people who have crafts to sell. Folks who are involved in home based businesses are good options too. They may want to expose what they do and offer some of their items. Think of who has approached you to attend an event such as Tastefully Simple or Scentsy Candles (two that I have attended that I know of off the top of my head). Folks with health and beauty and other categories are also good candidates.

You can also try a farmer's market if it would work in your area. You would want to be sure you have enough local growers to have a good turnout. You could also combine the two ideas and have a craft fair/farmer's market. As an additional component if you do not have enough vendors, you could also add a swap meet.
