subject: Want The Utmost In Automobile Performance? Check Out These Four Quality Cars [print this page] Firstly, there's the group that really don't care about what car they're driving around in. They'll have a preference as to what colour it is and if it has a good stereo, for example, but that's about as far as their interest goes - as long as it gets them from A to B and looks relatively appealing, that'll do for them.
You've then got the group who love to travel in style and luxury. They adore heated leather seats, feel at home when they've got their four zone climate control system on and wouldn't know what to do with a car key now they're so used to a button ignition.
And then you have the group of drivers who are after performance. They want fast cars. Powerful cars. Cars that handle well. Models that can tear away from a stop and come to a complete halt without any problems whatsoever.
If you're someone who falls into this last group and are on the look out for cars that fit the bill perfectly, take a look through the following four cars, of which are likely to be particularly appealing.
1. Bugatti Veyron - officially the world's fastest car, the Bugatti Veyron can achieve a top speed of 267 miles per hour after reaching 60 miles per hour in just 2.5 seconds.
Powered by an 8.0 litre W16 engine, the Veyron produces 1001 bhp - twice as much as what most affordable, high performing cars can produce - and although 200 models have been manufactured since they first went into production in 2005, they are restricted to only those buyers who have a somewhat unlimited budget, as the Veyron price tag sits comfortably above the one million pound mark.
What surprises many about the Bugatti Veyron's price is that it doesn't actually make it the most expensive car currently on the market - that title goes to the Koenigsegg Trevita, which will set you back 500,000 more than the Veyron.
2. Ferrari Enzo - entering Ferrari dealers in 2002 and in production until 2004, during which time 400 were produced, the Enzo houses a 6.0 litre V12 engine and has a top speed of a breathtaking 226 miles per hour.
Widely regarded as one of the best looking models to enter Ferrari dealers in recent times, the Enzo is nothing short of a magnificent high performance automobile.
3. Audi R8 Spyder - now famous around the world as being the star car of the Iron Man 2 film, the R8 Spyder is Audi's highest performing sports car to date.
Shown at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show, the R8 Spyder packs a powerful 5.2 litre engine which can propel the car to a staggering 194 miles per hour.
It might be one of the most expensive Audis to be built at 112,500 pounds, but most critics agree the money couldn't be spent any better elsewhere.
