subject: See The Rare Wildlife Of Bandhavgarh India [print this page]

Bandhavgarh India is one of the most conspicuous wildlife areas in the whole of this subcontinent. It is not only home to a number of rare carnivorous animals but also forms habitat to other herbivorous and bird species. There is also flora to see in form of lush vegetation between the dells and valleys in a beautiful land that extends over 105 square kilometers with four times that dimension in expansive surrounding limits.

The principle species at the Bandvghar National Park are the tigers that have been a preserve of many conservation groups across the world. They are known for their lean bodies that are covered by white fur that makes them easy to descry from a distance. Through the expanse of the tropical land that is an exotic showcase of rolling slopes and flat dells that are blanketed by scenic ranges on either side, one can see the highest number of these rare canines at one place. Though they have other habitats across the mainland, no other place vaunts a bigger population density or gives a better prospect for observing them. This is because, amid the rising mountains of this preservation site, there are unchecked terrains of grass that can form a panoramic background from which to take them in from a birds view.

The Bandhavghar National Park is also home to some species of herbivores animals. These include the colorful deer that abounds in the grass-clad boggy areas where they are easy to spot. They are flanked by porcupine and other ground creatures that are hard to find in other areas. As an attestation to the great variety of species, one can also find the leopard that abounds in the forestry preserves surrounding the central area as well as other great wildlife. Birds are also found in plenty in this region including the wild hawks that prey on small birds.

Some of the most beautiful spots in Bandhavghr include the central peak of the range that is the most discernable natural feature in the whole park. At more than 800m high, it is emphasized by the sheer formation of dells and valleys, some of which take steep depths, which give the hill its conspicuous position. It has also a historical attribute attached to it, being the very first landmark that gave the place its name. The tourist can also observe the curious formation of slopes that begin as huge gullies boasting wide expanses of open terrain between them ending up in a scenic bog. The latter are watery grounds which are famous for their lush surfaces that are full of green grass and other aquatic vegetation.

Bandhavghar India is, in short, a preserve like no other where rare wildlife abounds and beautiful land formations can be surveyed. If one is not taking a tour to see the large population of the famed tigers, they can be on their way to a birding excursion. There are many times that one can visit the park that is open to tourist at all times of the year through well arranged safari tours.
