subject: A Rendezvous Sometimes Makes You Ponder So Much That It Changes The Way You Think! [print this page]

Last evening on the beach, I saw an elderly couple walking. I was alone, enjoying the beautiful breeze, sitting on the shore, when they came and sat next to me. They smiled and I smiled back. They were looking so cute that I couldnt help but ask them if theirs was a love marriage. They looked at each other, winked, and started laughing. I was perplexed and asked them what happened. The lady replied that they just started seeing each other, and were on a vacation there. I old man joked that he regretted not meeting her before, and the lady blushed. I asked them how they met and they told me they met through a single online dating forum; they admitted they didnt believe in this entire internet dating until they experienced it themselves. Coincidentally, both of their respective grandchildren made them a profile and kept updating it and finding suitable matches for them. One fine day, a right match was clicked on, and they met each other, and there was no looking back since then. They said they had a lot of interests in common, such as travelling (the way they were doing it now), classical music including Opera and much more. After a brief discussion, they walked on further, holding hands in hands, like eternal lovers lost centuries ago who had just found each other.

Later at night, I saw on TV that Hugh Hefner, our very own Playboy got engaged at the age of 84. If I hadnt had an encounter with the beautiful old couple, my whole notion about love chat rooms oldies dating, marrying et al wouldnt have been what it is now. Perhaps, had I not met the couple, I wouldnt have been against the whole idea of old people dating, but I would have definitely been against the idea of and 84 year old man getting engaged to a 24 year old woman. But, giving it a second thought, both of the two must have found immense companionship with each other, the way no one else would have given them, and that is the reason why, Crystal Harris burst into tears when Hugh offered her an engagement ring; and that is why he also broke with his multiple relations to be with this one girl. Age is no factor to decide upon love. Love is eternal, timeless.
