However, what most people don't realize is that dogs can be affected by cold weather, heat and rain just as easily as their human counterparts. People own breeds that no longer live in the environment their breed characteristics were designed to thrive in. As a responsible pet owner we have to make the necessary adjustments to see that our pets are safe from the environment.
We often think about keeping our pet warm when it is cold out...how about keeping our pet cool when it is very hot. The pet attire industry has designed jackets that are designed to keep our pets cool in the hot summer months in warm climate regions. Use good judgement as to when you have your pet wear attire that may hurt them.
