Network Marketing Prospecting - A Step By Step Guide

At last, here is a step-by-step guide to prospecting for new distributors and customers to your network marketing business. Many starting networkers fail to do a systematic approach to sponsoring. As a result, they end up generating lesser leads, while spending more money on advertising costs or promotional expenses.

To avoid doing ineffective prospecting methods, follow these steps:

1. Research your market or industry first. All types of successful marketing campaigns starts with thorough and accurate research. If you don't have an idea of your ideal prospect, you won't be able to plan your prospecting activities. If you are a stay at home mom, a good idea would be to reach out to other stay at home moms first. Why? Because these are the people who can relate well to you. Try to have at least three to five target customer groups that you intend to focus your marketing efforts on.

2. Based on the target customer groups that you identified, create a list of prospects. This is where you create your raw list of prospects. Offline, this is done through manually gathering data from leads who you generate through direct social interaction, or through cold prospecting. Personally, I like putting names and email addresses of people on 3 by 5 index cards, and following up with them through email and direct response ads. Online, you can create a list of prospects by using a now popular tool called the autoresponder.

3. Leverage the power of all kinds of media and technology available to you. Use the phone, sales letters, websites, blogs, videos, fax, audio and many other types of media to reach your prospects.
