great customer service and product
I received the product in a timely matter and it worked really well. After a few days of use my friend accidentally plugged in something with too high a voltage and fried it. Their customer service was kind enough to refund the product and I'm very satisfied with everything, I only wish I could still be using it in France.
No Problems
Used this for a whole year in Afghanistan. All the power (where I was) was by generator at 220v. Never had a single problem with it - had at least 200W plugged into it for constant use.
Very heavy, but worked great
I took this adapter with me on a trip to Italy. I choose this adapter because it was one of the few that took a 3-prong device which I needed for my laptop. 200 watts is also higher than most other adapters on Amazon.
I had no issues powering my laptop, hair straightener and other various charging devices. Just check the wattage on everything before you plug it in and make sure it's under the 200 watts. This of course meant I had to leave my hair dryer at home.
The cord on it was really handy as the outlets in my hotel room were in inconvenient places.
My only complaint was the heavy, bulkiness to it. It's a brick! I still managed fine, even putting it in my carry on.
A Little Bit Heavy, But Great!
This product worked exactly as advertised. It was a little bit heavy and clunky, but well worth it to protect my laptop. I'd read other reviews that warned that these converters can get very hot, so I was on the lookout for fire hazards. However, after leaving it plugged in all day, it was actually cooler than the original powerbox of my laptop. I'd highly recommend this product, it worked perfectly. One caveat: it only comes with a two-round-prong plug, so if your outlet is different, (like mine in the UK) you WILL need an adapter plug. Luckily I had one. Great value for the money!
