Watch is not popular among college students. But I still have special feelings for it. Before I went to the college, my father gave me a panerai watch as a gift. This panerai watch is very beautiful. In fact, it is the most beautiful gift that I ever received. My father is not a rich man. His wage is quite low and this panerai watch spents almost a-month-wage of him. My mother told me that father was very happy and proud of me so he bought this watch to celebrate my going to the university. I am the first college student of my family and I also help father realise his dream to study in the university where he wants to go.
When I went to the college, I found that I was the only one student who wore a watch everyday. Even many of my teachers didn't wear watches. Since cellphones could be taken as watches, who wanted to wear a watch everyday. But I insisted on wearing my watch. My watch was not only a tool which told me time, it was the blessing of my father and mother who wanted me to live happy in the campus. I was regarded as a jerk by some of my classmates. They couldn't agree with my idea of wearing a watch. Who would care them if you had failed explaing to them. Not many boys chased me in the college. My roomates made a joke on me that because I wore a watch so the boys must think I was a serious girl and they didn't like serious girls. I told my roomates clearly that such boys who had prejudice on me wouldn't be liked by me either. If they just judged me from my watch, then they were not trustworthy boys that I appreciated. I believed that my boy would turn up at last. Here he came. I met him at a debating competition. He was smart, eloquent and polite. What impressed me most was that he was the only boy who wore a watch in the competition. After the competition, the two teams had dinner together. He sat beside me and talked to me first. I found we had many things to talk. We both loved books, tennis and architecture. Several days later, we began to go out together. Also, he asked me to be his girlfriend. I was so happy that my real boy appeared and he wore a watch.
