Dan and I were not in the same department. We met each other on Lulu's birthday party. At first, Dan didn't attract my attention at all. On the party, I was totally attracted by Lulu who was in a white party dress. She was pretty and lovely. It seemed that the party dress was alive in her. Several boys were surrounding her and they were talking joyfully. I knew almost nobody of the party so I sat at a corner and made myself a cup of beer. Lulu had a different kind of beauty from mine. She was womanly, graceful and lovely. All her characteristics were appreciated by my mother, I thought. She was like a Barbie dool, a girl was liked by everybody. When you saw her first eye, you couldn't move your eyesight away. What an angel she was with her white party dress! I didn't know how she found that I was staring at her, but she suddenly turned head and smiled at me. Oh, angel, here she was. I took my beer and walked to her direction. "Hey, Julie." A tall boy turned up before me and stopped my walking. "Hey, you. What's up?" I didn't know who he was but I was quite annoyed by his sudden turning up. "You remember me? Vow, it's amazing." He seemed to be quite happy when I talked to him. "Urn, so your name is ?" I really had no idea who he was but I couldn't tell him so directly. At a party, everyone should behave properly. And this proper behavior was that you could not be too cold. Anyway, a party was a party and when you came, you enjoyed yourself. Apprently, I was not so stupid to refuse this boy.
"You don't remember me." He seemed quite disappointed. "Sorry. But I remember you from now on." I said. "Dan. My name is Dan." He gave me his hand and we shook hands. "Julie. You have known my name." I saw he smiled like a child. After the introduction, I had no words to say to him any more. "Do you want to have a drink?" he asked me. "No, thank you. I have my beer." I refused him politely. "So you have friends here?" still, he couldn't see that I was not interest in our talking. "No, I know nobody here. Just come for fun." I told him honestly. "I have friends here.Look at that girl," he pointed at Lulu, "she is my friend." He knew Lulu. If I made friends with him, he might introduce Lulu to me. "A drink?" I asked him. "Great." We both took our glasses and sat on a coach.
