Same product, just cheaper
This is the exact same product but alot less than they were asking at Sears and all the other big boxes.
After 6 months, still working great & great value.
I am VERY picky about my water, and have been very pleased with this filter. Water is flavorless, just like I like it. I will only buy this filter/brand going forward, as it was less expensive than the Amana ones that I purchased in the past. Can't tell any difference, and it was a much better value plus it qualified for the free Amazon shipping.
A refrigerator essential
We have a refrigerator that offers filtered water with this filter. It's the only option for this fridge, and I definitely feel like it makes the water taste better. My only gripe is that there's no real indication of when it's time to change the filter (the guidelines make a vague suggestion of six months).
Worth the price
The PuriClean II filter is well worth the price. For around $35 a year, the filter improves taste, eliminates odors, and removes contaminants such as: Lead, Atrzine, Lindane, Benzine, Carbofuran, Chlorine, Mercury, Asbestos, and others. Some people bypass their filters or never change them, but it just isn't worth it. $35 is a small price to pay for the benefits of this filter. Amazon has it for less than $35 shipped, which is a great deal.
