Scheme of Ball mill Design
Scheme of Ball mill Design

Before manufacture ball mill machine, making a thorough research into ball mill structure, ball mill working principle, and various ball mill technology parameters then working out a ball mill design scheme is necessary. Besides the theory, the practical ball mill use must be taken into consideration.

Following is a ball mill design introduction:

The main ball mill design issue is the drive ball mill for cement grinding the edge of the transmission design and supporting device and a feeding device designs. D 1.83 6.1m sliding shoes on the mill to a whole, has been the work of ball speed and the required power, which could further drive the ball mill design of components, specifically the motor selection and gear selection, as well as the associated matched axis device choice. Mainly on the supporting device and ball mill gear design, through to the ball millworks, as well as load distribution and other analysis, to simplify the structure of the supporting device, allowing a large ball bearing device meet the production requirements and methods through the use of common parts, reasonable reduction in the ball mill's manufacturing costs, in line with business requirements. According to transmission requirements, rational ball mill gear design, as much as possible to reduce production costs, saving the land, bringing better economic benefits.

Ball mill working principle:

When the ore and water are fed into the cylinder from one end of the hollow shaft, discharged from the other end, and the cylinder rotates to the specified speed, the steel ball or bar together with the ore go up to a certain height with the cylinder, then fall and slide down breaking away from the shell under the effect of centrifugal force and friction. Soon afterwards they rise again with the cylinder to the same height, and then fall in regular intervals, making the ore ground-up by the impact force and grinding effect.

The ground-up ore and water form slurry (wet grinding), which are discharged by the hollow shaft on the ore discharge end, thus the ore grinding is finished
