subject: Sales Jokes In The Workplace Can Make The Day Brighter [print this page]

Political correctness has also meant that one needs to be cautious when in the throes of a joke session and telling sales jokes is no exception. Everyone loves a laugh but make sure if you are about to embark on a good sales joke that you are confident that no one listening will be offended in any way.

Fortunately sales jokes are generally pretty inoffensive and told well will always alleviate the pressure in a sales environment. Being in sales is quite different to any administrative or managerial position. There is constant pressure to meet targets and the competition with fellow work mates can often create a fierce vibe amongst the sales team.

If the sales team is properly managed and everyone is encouraged to work together to achieve group targets then there will be a much more cooperative attitude amongst the staff and with a few good sales jokes thrown in from time to time the general atmosphere will be much more conducive to success.

Good sales jokes can usually be found on the internet under any one of the many joke websites that can be accessed there. If you are working in a pressurised sales situation and want some way to alleviate this, then have a couple of good sales jokes up your sleeve to tell at an appropriate time. If one of your workmates is feeling a little down because he or she is behind target then a good joke will brighten their mood and day.

Having a sense of humour is critical in life. In any situation, be it at work or play it is important to be able to have a good laugh from time to time and to contribute in a positive way to the work environment with stories, anecdotes or funny one-liners. Make sure you don't over do it otherwise you may become known for your sales jokes rather than your sales performance and the former will not ensure an on-going pay packet for you. Keep them funny, keep them clean, keep them coming but not too often is the rule!

Sales jokes and other funnies in the workplace do make for a more enjoyable day and results in staff looking forward to coming to work rather than dragging themselves out of bed for another long train ride and boring 8 hours in the office. A good sense of humour if healthy and a good laugh is known to also have a positive impact on you both physically and mentally.

We spend so much time in silence, on the phone talking business, on the road alone chasing sales appointments that there is often only limited opportunity to share good jokes or other funnies with our workmates and friends. When the opportunity arises , take it and share the latest one you've heard, laughter is great medicine!
