Making Sure a Proper Humidity in Your House

In the winter time, most of people commonly use heater that provides heating system. However, the over usage of heating system can influence the humidity level in your home because it removes too much moisture in your room. If the level of moisture in the room is decreasing, it can cause dry air which is then filled with dust and bacteria. Also, this may cause many problems like dry skin, concentration problems, irritated and dry eyes, nose bleeds, upper respiratory tract infections, and scratchy throats. Therefore, you have to make sure that the humidity in your home is proper.

Basically, the common humidity level is relatively between 40 percent and 60 percent. If the level of humidity in your room is less than 30 percent, it means that the condition is too dry. On the other hand, if the level of humidity in your room is above 50 percent, it means that the condition in your room is too wet. When the winter comes, adding moisturizer in your home can make you to feel warmer.

Moreover, you have to make sure that your home is equipped with proper ventilation. It is because the proper ventilation will help you to reduce the quantity of pollutants in the air and will also help you to maintain the proper level of humidity in your home.

The right solution to maintain proper humidity in your home is by using a humidifier. One of the most common types that available on the market today is an evaporation humidifier. This humidifier comes with reservoir which holds the cold water and dispenses it into a basin, then the water on the basin is absorbed by the filter, and the air is blown by a fan through the moistened filter. After that, since the air passes through the filter, the water is evaporated into the room.
