So yet another Spanish property article that doesn't differentiate between the local housing market in Spain and the international property market here is Spain. This time it's the Wall Street Journal and it is really so annoying. What people who are so called experts in their field forget to realise is that the majority of people who read there articles are actually not living in Spain but some of them may have aspirations to buy property in Spain but their articles only tell them negative things about Spain and actually give them false ideas of what their money can buy so much so they are desperately disappointed when they arrive here and find what they can buy. Marbella is a good example of what I am talking about where we hit the bottom of the market this year but maybe other places in Andalucia have not. Therefore unless you have some knowledge of the real estate market here in Spain it makes commenting on the subject very difficult but I suppose we will just have to live with the inaccuracies that these people write and realise this has no bearing on luxury villas in Marbella and even apartments in Marbella that International citizens want to live in. What I think we can all agree on is that there are less and less international property buyers out there and from what we can see there are less sales than in 2007 but they are now of a higher value as it's the people who can really afford to live in Marbella who are moving over and buying Marbella villas.
