Ink Stains:

As soon ink spills on a leather dress remove it. If ink gets old it becomes hard to remove its stain. The solution for it is use alcohol or hair spray. They are looked upon as effective measures for removing ink stains. Spray hairspray on a sponge or on piece of cloth or take alcohol on the same and rub over the stain. Stain will go but if it does not go take leather dress to a professional person for cleaning. Remember ink stains are very hard to go easily. In case of permanent stains you may need to dye the leather dress.

Water Stains:

Keep your leather dress away from water. Water crumples it, thus spoils its look. But if water spills over it let it evaporate naturally or blot with paper. Do not use any heat applicator for evaporating water, as this may harm the leather dress. When the water evaporates completely, apply leather conditioner over it for removing the cramps. Conditioner will make leather dress smooth again and also retains its look.

Grease Stains:

Stuffs like oil, butter etc causes greasy stains on leather dress. But best thing is it is easy to remove these stains. As oil or butter spills on leather blot it with paper or cloth. After this apply talcum powder on the affected area and leave it for sometime. Powder will soak the remaining grease and after few hours wipe the powder.

Mildew Stains:

Mildew stains can occur any time. They thrive in warm, damp, dark poorly ventilated environments. Almost everybody suffers from it. First of all try to keep your leather dress in clean, airy place but if still mildew stains occur here is the solution. Mildew stains are very easy to wipe off. All you need to do is prepare a solution for it. This solution is made up of alcohol and water in a ratio of 1:1. Dip sponge or cotton cloth in it and wipe gently stained area with it. Then keep leather dress for air drying. You will find that the mildew stain has disappeared after the stained area has dried.
