subject: The Joy Of 3 Pocket Scrub Tops [print this page]

As every professional finds out at one point or another in their working life, pockets are one of the most essential features of any professional attire. After all there are a hundred and one things that one needs to carry around all day, and having ones hands full all the time is not entirely the best way for getting much work done! Hat things you ask? Well, not counting the ever-present pen and pencil, you may, depending on your profession, need to carry around anything from pits of paper and memos, to loose change, syringes, tools, and any number of other things you can think of.

The obvious answer then, is scrub tops with pockets, especially if you are in the medical or health care industry. Well, how many pockets? That's really up to you. But one of the most popular styles is the 3-pocket scrub top. It's usually your basic round or v-necked scrub top, with one major difference. It comes equipped with three separate pockets! There is the usual left-hand breast pocket, for your pens and whatnot, as well as two separate patch pockets, lower down, on both sides.

The lower pockets are convenient for stowing things as well as resting your hands once in a while (and who doesn't need to do that?) while the top pocket is ideal for the things you need most often, and in a hurry. In fact, many 3-pocket scrub tops actually come equipped with a penholder in the top pocket, so that your pen is accessible, and easily reachable, at any time. The scrub top itself may or may not have side slits, and may button down the front, or not, as you prefer it.

In fact, in just about anything else, the 3-pocket scrub top is completely flexible. You can choose to buy one in just about any kind of material that is known to man, and chances are good that it will be available, although the most popular choices are either cotton or some kind of a blend, like polycotton poplin. You can also choose any style or cut that you want, although, in many cases these choices may be influenced by where you work and the policies in force there. As for individualization, you can "make your own" 3-pocket scrub top, by choosing a different color or print, if there are no restrictions regarding these at your workplace. Another method of customization may be to get a monogram, or embroidery on your 3-pocket scrub tops. This might be anything from your name or initials, to your favorite band or sports team, to flowers, or stylized designs, and even cartoon characters!

In fact, once you have your choices made for the material and the design of your 3-pocket scrub tops, the rest of it ....the sky is the limit! You can literally choose any print, embroidery or embellishment your heart desires! Go ahead and splurge! The final result will be a garment that is comfortable, useful, and good-looking, giving you a sense of individuality, combined with comfort and utility.
