Is a Body Cleanse With Acai Berry Necessary?

The short answer is . . . maybe. Combining a quality body cleanse with the outstanding antioxidant benefits of acai berry is always a good idea. And in some cases, it's an absolute necessity because people often lean too heavily on the supposed health benefits of acai berry.

Acai berry has been touted as a panacea for almost all the modern ills. It's been called an antioxidant, an anti-inflammatory, an antibacterial, a fat-loss agent, an aphrodisiac, a cancer cure, and so on and on. Obviously, much of this is nothing more than hype.

The acai berry is the reddish-purple fruit of a palm tree native to Central and South America and is related to blueberries, cranberries, and other dark-purple fruits. This berry contains anthocyanins and flavonoids, both powerful antioxidants, in possibly the highest natural concentration. These antioxidants help to nullify the destructive effects of free radicals and should thereby aid in reducing the risk of, for example, heart disease and cancer. So, yes, acai berry has some benefits in this respect.

But acai-berry juice can be pretty expensive. And, besides, you can get virtually the same antioxidant benefits from other cheaper dark-colored berries and fruits, such as blueberries, strawberries, and raspberries. Beyond the antioxidant benefits, the other putative health benefits of acai berry are very slight at best.

Here's one of the bolder claims, from among the many like it, made for this South American fruit: "It provides nutrition, helps you lose weight, and it also keeps you free from chronic diseases. Leading experts have termed the acai supplement the #1 'Super Food' in the world." Sure, it provides nutrition, but so does every other unprocessed food. As for keeping you "free from chronic diseases," well, draw your own conclusions. And there is absolutely no conclusive scientific evidence that acai berry does anything more to promote fat loss than any other similar food.

Now, here's the problem and the reason why consumption of acai berry should often be coupled with the use of a whole body cleanse program. People often believe the outrageous claims and rely on acai berry alone to make up for a bad diet. They are still getting all those toxins from all those processed foodsway more than the slight detoxification properties of acai berry can do anything about.

Also, for people who are eating right and exercising to get in shape and lose fat, a body cleanse in addition to acai berry may be even more crucial. Digestion itself and exercising also result in toxic byproducts that often wind up stored in fat cells. The detoxification and fat-loss properties of acai berry are too miniscule to be of much help here.

What many people need in addition to acai berry is the 21 Day Body Makeovera body cleanse program and complete body makeover that not only detoxifies your body, but also promotes fat loss. It contains bio-identical elements that contribute to your nutritional needs and overall health, as well as restoring energy, replacing lost nutrients, and balancing hormones.
