subject: The Top 10 Superbowl 43 Commercials [print this page] You know why you watch the SuperbowlYou know why you watch the Superbowl. Yeah, the game is a lot of fun and the cheerleaders are hot and maybe you've even got a side bet going about who's going to win, who's gonna have the most fumbles, what the spread is going to be, the odds and everything else you can think of. But let's face, the real reason you watched Superbowl 43 was for the ads. Those amazing Superbowl ads which everyone loves to see. So, here's a top ten list of Superbowl 43's top ads:
1.The Bud Light Meeting
The nerve of some people! When this rude guy has the audacity to suggest that the company should save money by avoiding buy bud light, he's dumped on by the whole office. Serves him right, I say!
2.Angels and Demons
Okay, we already know exactly where this one went since the movie came out, but still, wasn't it a pretty cool commercial and who could have imagined what would make the Vatican call their number one enemy?
3.Audi the Chase
I have just one question here: If we're talking about cool cars, where's the James Bond car from The Spy Who Loved Me? Not to mention the whole time travel thing just doesn't work as well when you don't have a Delorean.
4.Pepsi Forever Young
Okay, I can kind of get into Will.I.Am.'s singing Forever Young for Pepsi, but frankly, for me the only musical Pepsi commercial that should be considered iconic is Michael Jackson's Taste of a New Generation
5.Doritos Crystal Ball
Coming in at number 5 for the Superbowl 43 ads, this is one way of saving a few bucks in this tough economy. But I kind of have a feeling the guy who should worry about promotions is the one destroying office property.
6.Conan's Budweiser Moment
Poor Conan. He should have known better than to crawl around on a silk mattress screaming about the "party started." Even if it was supposed to be done only in Sweden!
7.Year One
Yeah, okay, I like Jack Black also, but I think the whole back in time was overdone and this one was one too many.
8.Toyota "Are you Venza?"
We always knew the Japanese made quality cars, but who knew they could make 'em beautiful as well? That's supposed to be a German thing. But Toyota proved otherwise during Superbowl 43.
9.Bridgestone Mr. Potato Head
Yeah, I didn't really get this one either. What Mr. Potato Head was supposed to be doing with Bridgestone is beyond me, but it was still pretty cute.
10.Fast and Furious 4
And the number 10 commercial on the top 10 for Superbowl 43 is for a movie whose primary virtue is the babes and the fast cars. Very appropriate for the venue.
