Jack3d vs. Anadraulic State GT - Battle of the preworkout creatine supplements!

In the preworkout wars, two products have really come to the forefront of this market and they have very different philosophies on how to deliver key nutrients like creatine into the system. Both are very solid products and you can't make a bad choice here, but we are going to compare the two and see what aspects of each are the "best" value for the money.

Jack3d is a no-nonsense preworkout creatine powder that contains some additional items like beta alanine, arginine and schizandra extract containing schizandrol A. Also, it uses caffeine and geranamine as it's stimulants. It promises no trips to the bathroom because it doesn't contain any magnesium. I am not convinced a small amount of magnesium is what is causing other products to make you run to the bathroom during your workout, but it is a good marketing story. For a simple product without a lot of extras, Jack3d delivers on its promise. It is a solid, decent tasting formula that gives good results in the gym. You probably do have to take more than one serving, since a single serving is only about 6g of material, which isn't a lot of active ingredients. So, 45 servings should last 15-20 days, depending on the dose you take. Creatine with beta alanine is a great combination, but the arginine in my opinion isn't the best choice, since they are timed differently. Beta alanine has some great science behind it for buffering lactic acid, so it is a great addition. If you want a zero carb product with a decent taste and a good price, then Jack3d is for you. It comes in both lemon lime and fruit punch. I've only personally tasted the fruit punch, it is more of a tropical "colada" like flavor, not the "HiC" punch.

Anadraulic State GT is the newest contender in the preworkout market. It adds in creatine, beta alanine and schizandra, similar to Jack3d, but that is where the similarities end. The taste is strawberry lemonade, which is good and goes down easily. Anadraulic State takes a slightly different approach, adding in a small amount of pharmaceutical grade dextrose and hydrolyzed amino acids. These two should help supercharge creatine and give you extra energy and recovery during the workout. Also, it contains caffeine and synephrine as stimulants, which give you a nice clean, kick in the gym. The two big differences of Anadraulic State vs. other preworkout powders is the inclusion of herbal androgens and MHCP extract. Herbal androgens called "pSARM's" are herbs that boost testosterone or act like it in the body, giving you a boost in aggression and focus in the gym. If you like the extra testosterone boost before you go to the gym and want the benefits of this aspect of a preworkout, then Anadraulic State GT is more your style. Additionally, Anadraulic State GT contains MHCP which in my opinion is the best ingredient to include with creatine. It stops the bloat and stomach issues associated with creatine, which is a huge improvement. Also, it is the best pump agent on the market for pushing the creatine into the muscles faster than any other product, making it perfect for a preworkout powder. In fact my former favorite preworkout used to have MCHP in it, but they took it out because it is a bear to flavor. Luckily LG Sciences, has put a good amount of flavor in the product, so you can't taste the MCHP. MCHP is a very cool ingredient that should be in every pre-workout, nothing I've ever taken works as well as MCHP.

I've heard of both products being used off label, for people getting ready to go the bar or club, who want an extra boost of focus. Jack3d should give you a nice energy boost in that area and Anadraulic State should provide more energy with an extra kick of testosterone, to make you more "alpha male" at the bar. This might actually translate to increased pheromone production, which could attract the opposite sex. be careful with both since it could be troublesome to mix these with excessive amounts of caffeine found in energy drinks.

Both products deliver on the promise of a great pre-workout creatine product and give amazing focus in the gym. They have slight differences like the inclusion of MHCP in Anadraulic State GT and things like geranamine in Jack3d. The taste of both products is pretty solid, but I prefer the Anadraulic State GT personally. Still, both are more than drinkable! The bottom line is that both products are very good and can give you everything you need in the gym, it comes down to whether your body responds to a small amount of dextrose and amino acids prior to the gym, like mine does or if you want the strict no dextrose product with zero hydrolyzed amino acid support. My advise is to try both of them head to head and see if your body responds better to the testosterone boosting effects of Anadraulic State GT or to a simple pre-workout creatine powder like Jack3d. You can't go wrong with either one!
