The Right to be Silent

There is an old saying that tells us that to be silent is to be wise, but in these times is not always best to just keep quiet.
We can express our everyday emotions and thoughts into speech, and why not speak out how we really feel about things that matter, hot topics that affect you and the community. Do you have a right to stay silent if that silence can affect you and the ones close to you?
Does it frighten you when others react badly to what you have to say and then decide to just stay quiet as to not bother someone with your views and opinions? There's something you need to know then, you are you and no one else is, if you decide to keep quiet others will go ahead and take advantage of that.
Now, that's something to ponder about, and if you have decided to make your self be heard, I salute you, because it means that you care about what's going on around you, the American issues that trigger controversy and you might feel it's important to let everyone know where you stand in that situation.
No one else will go and say what you want to say for you, so there's no one better to voice your own opinions but you. Don't let others speak in your place, it's YOUR right to speak up, and say what matters, even if others disagree and try to shut you up, here is where it comes the time for you to take a stand in what you believe in.
