Manningham City Council has called for tenders for cleaning of the Municipal Offices, the Municipal Depot Administration, eight Maternal and Child Health Centres and one occasional child care centre located throughout the Municipality. The contract is for a term of up to five years.

Manningham is located 12 km from Melbourne and brings a combination of both cosmopolitan city and country lifestyles together over a total land area of 114 square kilometres.

Manningham includes the suburbs of Bulleen, Doncaster, Doncaster East, Donvale, Nunawading (part), Park Orchards, Ringwood North (part), Templestowe, Templestowe Lower, Warrandyte, Warrandyte South and Wonga Park.

Manningham City Council is responsible for managing the maintenance of 235 Council buildings. This includes the Municipal Offices, libraries sporting pavilions, pre-schools, maternal and child health care centres, child care centres, public toilets and community halls. Maintenance extends to programmed cyclic and general maintenance, the removal of graffiti and the security of buildings.

Major projects being undertaken by Manningham City Council include the Civic Precint. The Civic Precinct is part of the Doncaster Hill Activity Centre is located in Doncaster Road, next to the Council offices. The initial stage of the development, a $37.7 million community centre is expected to be completed within the next three years. Development of the Civic Precinct is expected to take place over a 10 to 15 year timeframe. Council has received in excess of $11.5 million to date in funding from the Federal and State Government towards the Civic Precinct

The proposed community centre will comprise:

- A library/cultural centre/community arts/caf

- Family services/childcare/maternal and child health/preschool facilities

- Community and youth activity space

- Doncare service delivery and office accommodation facilities

- Underground parking facilities.

This proposed community centre will be a showcase for sustainable urban planning and development. Design, construction and operation is to be to a 5-star (energy and water) NABERS standard, and achieving at least 5-star Green Star (passive design) standard.

A tri-generation facility will supply heating, cooling and power to the existing Civic Offices and the Community Centre via a micro-grid, and a sustainability education hub, co-located with the library will provide educational opportunities.

The Civic Precinct is an integral part of the Doncaster Hill Strategy which includes the expansion of Westfield Doncaster, provision of residential housing, improved public transport and the development of a range of improved social, cultural and community services and infrastructure.
