subject: Why Does My Computer Keep Freezing Up - How To Stop My Computer From Freezing? [print this page]

It is a nightmare that computer kept freezing up once in a while without any portent. It could drive me nuts, especially when I was working on my project or when I was playing games. What was the cause of the freezing problem?

I thought is my RAM problem. I had only 1 G RAM on my computer when I first bought it. So I upgraded my RAM to 2G with the thoughts that the problem would not happen again. But my computer still froze up randomly. I was very angry at that time. What was the real cause of the problem? How can I stop my PC from freezing forever?

I searched on the internet and went to some computer technical forums. I finally found the real cause of the problem Registry errors! Some guys on the forums gave me the same suggestion and told me to use a registry cleaner to scan and repair my registry. I did as they told me and downloaded a registry cleaner and made a scan on my computer.

As the scan was finished, I was surprised by the errors in the report. There were over 800 invalid and corrupted entries and keys out there! I could not even believe it. I was never aware of that at all. Then I used the registry cleaner to repair all the errors quickly. And the problem was finally solved and my computer never froze again.

Registry is the database of a Windows system which contains all the vital information and settings of the system and all installed programs. But the information and settings that are stored in registry keys and entries are easily corrupted and damaged when we are using computer. As time passes, without proper maintenance, registry will become a mess.

And computer will become slow and face unexpected problems such as freezes, blue screen, crash and so on. That was that reason why my computer froze up frequently. Now I know that cleaning registry is an important part of PC maintenance. If your computer also keeps freezing up frequently, you should clean up your registry right away.
