Lose Your Weight Fast and Easy With Some New Discover Exercise

Obesity is actually an epidemic in the united states. More than 60% of adults are overweight, and 305 of these overweight people are actually considered obese. The increase risks with obesity are heart disease, diabetes, strokes, arthritis, and various forms of cancer. What is the reason for this epidemic? People in the United States are eating more and exercising less.In restaurants, portion sizes are getting larger. Soft drinks have ballooned in size from 8 ounces to 24 ounces: hamburgers, cheese burgers, and French fries sold at fast food chains are three to four times larger than they were ten years ago.We are burning fewer calories every day due to the lack of exercise. With the so called energy saving devices, such as tv with their remotes, golf carts, riding lawnmowers, bank and fast food windows, and eight hour desk jobs, American people are burning fewer calories than ever. Only one out of every four to five of us gets at least 20-30 minutes of exercise three times per week, and the rest of us get little or no exercise at all. So how do you tell if you are overweight or actually obese? There is a very complicated measurement known as the body mass index, or body mass index, THAT CAN TELL YOU THE ANSWER. Needless to say, you have to consult a chart to find out the answer, unless you are a whiz at algebra. The basic premise, however, is that depending on your height and your weight, if your body mass index is greater than 30, you are considered obese. There are body mass index tables in almost every magazine that you read, where you can look up your own body mass index.

There is a much easier way, however, to calculate whether you are overweight or not. It is called the ideal weight formula;

Females: To calculate your ideal weight, take 100 pounds for your first five feet in height. Then you add 5 pounds for each additional inch. For example, if you are 5 feet 2 inches, you should weight 110 pounds, and that is calculated by taking the 100 pounds for your first 5 feet and 5 pounds for each additional inch, which is another 10 pounds. If you are 15 or more pounds over this ideal weight, than you are considered overweight. If you are 25 or more pounds over this ideal weight, you are considered obese.

Male: males take 106 pounds for the first 5 feet in height and add 6 pounds for each additional inch. For example, if you are 5 feet 10 inches, than your ideal weight is 166 pounds. If you are 15 or more pounds over this ideal weight, you are overweight, and if you are 25 or more pounds over your ideal weight, you are obese.

Heart disease and strokes are the leading cause of disability and death in the united states, and being overweight increases your risk of developing either or both of these disease. People who are overweight are twice as likely to also develop adult-onset diabetes.
