The Korean government is going crazy for English teachers. Specifically if you are from a traditionally English speaking country, you can make good money working as an ESL teacher or an English tutor. Now with the convenience of the computer and Internet it is possible to do so from the comfort of your own home. You don't ever have to step foot in Korean land. On the other hand, there are also companies in the Philippines that hire online English teachers for Korea based students. You can choose the shift you like ranging from 5:00 am to 11:00 pm. If you are a nocturnal person,then 2:00 to 11:00 pm shift suits you.
In teaching Korean students online, you have to call the students on their preferred time. Then, you have to conduct a class for ten minutes usually, you should get ready the lesson that you will discuss prior to the class time. Everyday, you can take one to two lessons if the student is a fast learner, or half of the lesson if he/she is kind of a slow one. Dealing with the students is quite hard especially if they cannot understand the lessons right away. However, we have to think that it is business and the students are the customers. We always have to remind ourselves the business principle that "the customer is always right".Therefore, in dealing with the problem students, patience is needed.
