subject: The Secrets Of Getting Free Google Traffic [print this page]

Free Google traffic is everlasting website traffic. You do something once and it will bring you traffic ever after. I am a great believer of it. With my skinflint ways I hate paying for traffic through pay per click.

Many of the clever gurus will tell you to spend money on pay-per-click campaigns on Google, Yahoo, or Bling. This has the advantage of bringing you immediate traffic on most occasions, but the stream of visitors will disappear at the exact moment, you feel that your plastic card has had all the heat it could bear, and tell Google to stop the campaign.

Then you're lost, on your own, with your deserted website.

Don't fall into that trap. You should at least add some other traffic streams, and free Google traffic is one way of doing it. Writing articles is one way. A 400 word article, submitted to some high page rank article directories creates permanent streams of traffic when readers click through to your site. Other marketers may pick up your article to publish on their blogs and you get free traffic when readers click on your resource box.

Of course, you should aim at getting ranked as well as possible, and to be among the first ten results, will bring you the most visitors.

How do you obtain that position?

By doing at least some SEO (Search Engine Optimization).

Don't worry! This doesn't have to be hard and difficult. A small thing like adding a title and an alt-attribute to your pictures goes a long way, and will get you higher positions in Google.

If you have several pages on your site, you could also link to relevant articles on-site.

Remember also to always use your best keywords in your anchor texts. Don't ever use "here" as an anchor text. In other words, avoid "click here to..." and use instead your imagination and some good keywords in your anchor texts.

Getting back links from sites in the same niche as yourself will also get you a higher position in Google. Google places high importance to links that come from authority sites. If you can get a back link from some sites with good page ranks themselves your traffic will increase.

You can create back links yourself by adding your site to social networks, or by asking your visitors to link to your site, maybe with a bribe.

Free Google traffic can be obtained in several other ways.
