How to Copy Nintendo Wii Games

$500 - $600 worth of games is worthy of looking after. You treat your car, computer and other expensive items with a bit of respect, why not games? Let's face it, most of your game discs are probably scattered about your carpet or TV stand where they're likely to become lost, scratched or similar.

Even if you take care to put discs away, it's likely that your copy of Wii Sports Party resides in the Call of Duty case, and in the Call of Duty case is a DVD of a film you haven't watched in a long time.

Discs get chucked around, slammed in to trays, thrown back in to their cases and generally abused most of their lives. It's far from uncommon for discs to become faded and scratched over time to a point where the game is no longer playable. Of course at this point you have two options; take the game to a retailer who will polish the disc for you OR simply fork out for the same game you already own.

Trouble is, polishing doesn't always work, especially if scratches are even slightly deep. The problem of course with the next option, is that you're paying for a game you already own!

So how can I get round this?

The answer is simple. Backup or copy your games! You make backups of your photos, music and documents - why not games? Games are usually more expensive than music, but we tend to neglect making copies in case the worst happens.

There's a down side. Making copies of games for the Wii can be difficult, especially with the on going battle of updates from Nintendo that can alter how the process works. Luckily for us mere mortals, there's software that can take care of this problem by simply doing it all for us! I review some of this software on my site you can find at the bottom of this page!

Neglect your games no longer, when you buy a brand new copy of the latest top game - make sure to back it up and play the copy instead!
