If you want to have a great career, being mentally active is absolutely vital - and mental absence simply not an option. To reach success, you cannot have a baseline state that consists of relative unconsciousness (a term I just came up with, and that you will get a sense of what I mean by in just a moment).
Do you get an idea of what I mean if I say mental electrical shocks? I did not so think so, either. This article is about the relative unconsciousness we fall into when we do not stimulate our brains enough, the need to get out of this unconsciousness and a method for doing so. I hope you have a good read.
You know what I am talking about when I saw relative unconsciousness, I am sure? I am talking about not being mentally present -- you ARE there, but you do not consciously think about things - you are just mentally "gone". This state is obviously a big energy waster and time waster, but what is even worse is if you let it happen every day for an extended period of time. Why is that bad? Because the more you have a specific state, the more your brain gets used to being in that state - meaning that, if you let yourself fall into unconsciousness enough times, eventually the brain will go there by itself. And that becomes your new baseline state - meaning if you are happy for a moment two, or three, your brain has a habit of being unconsciousness so you naturally fall back into it. If this does not sound serious, let me clarify for you that it is.
It is as serious as anything in terms of your life quality - so do pay attention to what I say now. When you notice that you fall into this zombie-mode, you need to take charge of yourself and just shock yourself out of it (it is not as bad as it sounds at all). One thing I have come up with is the "mental electrical shock". I know that the nerves send electrical signals to each other, but I do not know if this method actually involves electrical shocks - but I would imagine that it does. What you do is, when you notice yourself falling into unconsciousness you immediately imagine movement in your head (I know that it sounds strange, but if you try it out and find a way to do it you will know what I mean). This is something that you learn and hone, and get used to doing. That is important - that you get used to doing it. It will not be difficult at all to do, if you just do it - as opposed to make a big deal out of this "unconsciousness" thing after you read here about how dangerous it is. If the remedy is this simply, it is not that bad:).
I do hope that what I wrote in this article helps you become more energetic, waste less time and as a by product of that get an awesome career and reach success!
