beyond sculpting

it did not take to long to get the inspiration to sculpt, first with a logo in 3d for a pizza store,

then a few throw aways, and then i looked at a hawk flying up above i just knew i could sculpt that bird, a few photos some clay (airdry) some tools a pencil a hobby knife, sculpting wood

but the most of what i used was my hands to knead form and shape and some detail.you dont need expensive sculpting tools! once I finished the different birds i started to look in comic books or any book for my next project, but my own dog a maltese, which i had downloaded photos of was my next sculpt, first let me say bulk clay is the cheapest, if you go online

and ask for air dry clay 25lbs or more you weill find some good sites, when i sculpted a hawk

i used mostly my hands and one pencil for the complete sculpt. and sometimes if your a good artist you can draw out the sculpt on clay and form it from that point, your hands have to feel the thing your sculpting it will become easier, after a few times some of my next articles will be a step by step project for you. a a few tricks and a great time creating many things with very little skill and not many tools just get ready to get your hands dirty.

thanks for stopping by
