subject: Christian Newspaper: Ideal Choice As A Christian Business [print this page]

Would you like to become an honor of the Chain of Grocery stores where alcohol and tobacco is being sold? OR would you like to run a Chain of Book Stores where Playboy and other objectionable magazines and books are profitable? OR would you like to start your own Internet related business where it is riddled with pornography and unwholesome web sites? OR you would dream to own a Bank which lend the money to the same businesses mentioned above with the help of deposit and saving accounts of a common man?

Emerging era of various business opportunities has raised a major concern for all of us to follow Business Ethics. However, it is again a matter of perception and one ethic might not be the same for all. In order to find a business which contains the ethics which are predefined, I have come across a suggestion to have a Christian business as per the religious root and a Christian Newspaper as a specific business.

First and foremost, we need not to forget that Christianity belongs to the belief that Jesus Christ is the Son of God who was sent to the earth to save humanity from the consequences of its sins. For this, there is only one God, but that there are three elements to this one God: God the Father, God the Son, and The Holy Spirit. All we have to do is to bring the unity between these three elements with Christian Business viz. Christian Newspaper.

Hence, Christian business ethics would adhere the Christian morality with regards to what the business does and with whom the business is being done. This would include charity, care for the environment, and humanity. In order to achieve such morals the Christian newspaper could avoid high charge, or little or no interest and can supportive to community activity by making donations to the church. It could be an eco friendly Newspaper which make sure not to waste paper and hence, it can be publish online. The publishing source of labor should be ethical and the benefits of the workers needs to be taken care of.
