The phones screen boasts a good quality resolution of 320 x 240, which does an excellent job of displaying both complex web pages and your own captured media. The screen uses LCD technology and benefits from some excellent touches including user defined font sizes and a light sensitive display that adjusts contrast according to the conditions around you. Beneath the screen you will find the famous keypad along with a high quality optical trackpad. This trackpad is a useful inclusion as it allows for precise positioning which is particularly helpful when editing lengthy e mails. As one would expect, the keys on the Curve 3G feel great thanks to a tactile, rubberised finish. The main attraction of this new handset is its ability to connect to a 3G network. 3G offers the fastest data transfer rates whilst on the move. What this means to the consumer is that wherever you are, you can keep up to date with the world around you. It also enables you to receive instant notifications on items such as incoming mail. Like its predecessor the unit also supports WiFi for the fastest and most satisfying connection when in range of a suitable network.

The Blackberry Curve 3G offers a great set of multi media facilities that will please many of its users. The phone itself does feature a dedicated set of media keys along its top edge. This is perfect if you want to use the device as a portable audio player as it saves you needing to access various menus in order to control your music. A good range of audio files are accepted by the device which include MP3, WAV and eAAC+. A 3.5mm headphone jack enables a great range of headphones to be used with the Curve. In terms of photography the handset incorporates a good standard 2 mega pixel camera facility. Although this seems relatively low, it still provides a great image when viewed on the phones own display. The Blackberry Curve 3G builds upon the success established by previous models and adds to it with the excellent 3G features, making this one of the most impressive RIM handsets to date.
