This works very well. model, my wife mentioned the same issues in the water and corrosion inside the battery. I have the dishes in my closet and I had no problem in six months. the battery is my virgin. A simple solution.

This is the second Sonicare e3000 - first replaced after eight months. The money is really worth. If it fails during the first weeks or months to get in touch with their Sonicare will hold. It works great, but the battery seal
I have several Sonicare toothbrush hands, but was disappointed as rechargeable nickel-cadmium batteries wear out so fast, so I had to surrender everything. Looking for a new Sonicare toothbrush for eight years of my term I course in e3000. twice daily for over a year now and no problem. I read some problems with the brush died within a few months due to water in the battery. Someone suggested the post-petroleum jelly around the o-ring, what I did and it seemed to make the seal. My son does not mind that there is water on the brush and often found myself sitting in a puddle of water in the sink. There is no problem.
We also use rechargeable NiMH batteries and excellent job.
This brush is a bit less powerful than the rechargeable Sonicare, which is probably good for children. But if I die today, I doubt the plan except Sonicare e3000 running NiMH batteries instead of NiCad. I am currently buying a new one for my daughter who is now too old to use.
