Fire Tools - Getting the Job Done
Fire Tools - Getting the Job Done

When a fire fighter is working, things like fireproof gear and fire tools are always necessary. Without them, a fire fighter wouldn't be able to do much, let alone be safe while working. With the wide variety of situations fire fighters have to deal with as well, the equipment any fire department purchases have to be useful in any situation. These requirements make purchasing effective equipment difficult, because most of the equipment that falls under these criteria is ridiculously expensive.

But when fire fighters have to get the job done, they use equipment they can afford. With most fire departments facing budget problems that aren't easily solved, buying new equipmentfire tools, gear, and equipmentis the first thing that goes out the window. Or, instead of buying brand-new, top of the line equipment, fire departments will go with cheaper equipment over safer, more effective options. It's not an ideal situation, since fire fighters help all citizens in specialized situations where no one else could help, but it's happening every day.

Despite the lack of new equipment, most fire fighters keep doing their job regardless. Not because no one else can, but because it's a job that needs to be done. With that kind of motivation and regard for public service, fire fighters deserve the best equipment possiblebut they hardly ever do. In fact, they have to make due with what they can afford. It's a shame, but an unfortunate truth. Most fire departments today try and save money whenever possible, and if that means spending less money on equipment, it's what they have to do. As far as functional fire tools, gear, and equipment go, though, they'll get the job done. But it's not the safest situation for firefightersand unless there's a place where fire departments can purchase affordable equipmentit's a grim one
