Blood sugar means the monosaccharide (simple sugar) dissolved in the blood. More exactly, it is the glucose sugar or diabetic sugar. When the metabolism begins to drop, we need the help of insulin. Blood glucose in the circulatory system is converted into energy which the body needs. In other words, the blood sugar glucose regenerates the blood cells and boosts the metabolism. It is important that one should maintain blood sugar glucose levels between 70 to 100 mg/dl. When it comes to treating type 2 diabetes, you should understand that you need right amount of insulin secretion to regulate glucose range.
You will have low levels of glucose in the morning before meal. You will notice a rise in sugar level after eating food, and the elevated sugar level will decline gradually as time passes. If the sugar level after one and half hours following food intake (diabetic diet foods AND diabetic bad foods.) falls within the normal range (130 to 150), it is a case of normal body free from diabetic condition.
In case the sugar level falls below or above the normal range, then it is an indication of blood sugar symptom which is also a symptom of gestational diabetes too. Both the conditions are instances of storing blood sugar in the blood cells without undergoing the energy conversion process. However, a diabetic patient is said to be in hyperglycemic condition with high sugar level above 150mg/dl. And it is an instance of hypoglycemic condition with low sugar level below 130mg/dl.
Symptoms of diabetic sugar:
We have seen above the two conditions of diabetes namely blood sugar hyperglycemia and hypoglycemia. Here are some warning symptoms of blood sugar.
High blood sugar symptoms:The signs of high blood sugar may be the appetite change, frequent blood sugar urination, and excessive blood sugar thirst. If there is a steep rise in sugar level, the sugar patient can develop hyperglycemia leading to worsening diabetic condition. This in turn, at extreme level, can result in kidney damage, nerve damage, and vision loss. Along with tingling in hands and feet, wounds not healing can also be other symptoms of high sugar.
Low blood sugar symptoms: The hypoglycemic symptoms include drowsiness, lethargy, mental irritation, and loss of concentration of mind. Drowsiness, being the major symptom, leads to coma condition at extreme level. If proper treatment is not given, the condition may aggravate further and consequences will be bad such as the brain damage or even life risk with heart failure. So, the hypoglycemic condition is more fatal than the hyperglycemic condition.
