To begin with, I knew I had to increase my metabolism so that it could correctly process the foods I ingested. I started eating more healthy by incorporating more fresh fruits and veggies into my diet. I really got into healthy salads and fruit smoothies rather than devouring all those unhealthy processed foods that are high in sugar and other unhealthy preservatives.
I tried to eat most of my carbs in the earlier part of the day and more nutritious foods later in the day so that by the time I was ready for bed, I had used all that stuff off. You should consider not only what but also when you eat the higher-carb foods. This is because you want to use them for energy, not to be stored as excess fat. By the way, when I say "good" carbs, I mean whole wheat breads, grains, and pastas, not the bad carbs like white breads and pastries.
If I did crave some sweets later in the day, I would typically eat something like watermelon slices. Those forms of foods have a higher portion of water and are simpler to digest. They also traverse your system more quickly without being kept as fat.
I started eating more "healthy" fats like cottage cheese, nuts and trout because I discovered that our body still needs fats to maintain itself properly. Additionally they helped to keep me filled and increased my energy level.
Just by adjusting my eating habits and altering the foods I ate and when I ate them, I began to notice my stomach getting flatter.
I followed a more energetic lifestyle. For example, I would walk up the steps instead of using the elevator or escalator. I practiced carrying more sacks of groceries to my second floor condo. I also walked much more and even got into rollerblading on a rolling path. I began to dance more and even practiced a little dancing at home. I would try to do various activities to help get my heart pumping slightly quicker. I was certain that might help me complete my goal of a flatter abdomen.
Another extremely important factor I learned getting a flatter tummy quick was to just keep going! It did not improve right away so it might take a while to eliminate it. I knew if I made these alterations and dedicated myself, I could make them an element of my brand new lifestyle. I do not want to ever go back to how I looked before. I darn sure did not work this hard for that to happen. I want to maintain my appearance throughout my lifetime. Although it did take place rather fast, I still remember the amount of work it took to get my stomach flat.
